Humanity
seems be dealing with an inordinate amount of stress whether it's
an individual, family, group or society as a whole. Stress comes
in
many forms. A large amount of stress in a short period of time
we would perhaps call trauma. Trauma could be more moderate but
accumulate over time,
as is the case with physical or psychological abuse.
When stress or trauma is placed on the individual the tendancy is
to hold it in the physiology to some degree. Some part of us "freezes" inside.
Health and happiness are the result of natural health flowing through
us. Stress is like a log jam in a river it limits us.
Although modern therapy is of great value therapies that focus on
an intellectual understanding alone can not address the holding in
the physiology. In other words understanding cognitively the circumstances
or source of stress or trauma does not release it from the physiology.
In addition the root of stress may be considered to be "normal" life
circumstances such as being called fat, stupid or ugly as a child.
So much of this we never address or only partially address. Sometimes
our
life longings become about overcompensation for this type of wounding.
This overcompensation can be deceiving at times manifesting as great
strength and ambition-too afraid to ever fail. At other times a person
may feel worn down and weak.
Stress can come from well intended parents who over
parent or under parent or who flat out abuse children in negative
ways based on their own issues and wounding.
Stress may be a subtle or overt but along with processed foods, lack
of sleep, impure water, junk food and housing not built in accord
with Natural law we have a lot to deal with.
There exists a group of interrelated sciences which can aid humanity
in reversing the process of stress. Vaastu is one of these sciences.
When properly designed and constructed a Vaastu home will allow the
physiology to relax at very deep levels. The flow of nature is enhanced
rather that interrupted. This results in stress reduction beyond
normal sleep and rest. My passion, Vaastu
supports this process nicely and doesn't require the commitment or
time that a regular practice of meditation does. We all live in some
form of housing it just makes sense to choose a healthy natural environment.
Repeatedly I heard wonderful stories from families living in Vaastu
homes. Several mothers with teenagers reported that "our teens
don't go through much of that teenage angst stuff". I got a
tour of one home by the daughter who was 21 and home from college.
She talked about how when she would
be "shopping at the mall or something" she physically missed
being in her home.
Vaastu allows the physiology to relax and let stress out in
a healthy and natural way. You stop spending time and effort on what
you think you should be and spend time being who you truly are which
is a lot more pleasing and effortless. We highly recommend you spend
time examining the subtle qualities of a Vaastu space. |
